The edges are wrapped in cord, the flap that covers over the top has gentle curves that come to a point at the center, and there's detailed tooling all around the border.
It's very soft and reminiscent of a vintage design but in a much more modern color.
This is a keepsake item that should hold up well. The pages are unlined so they offer a great space for drawing and doodling.
